Norman Finkelstein II 2025

Norman Finkelstein II 2025 – 21 x 28cm, pencil on paper

“Never, ever reconcile yourself to the status quo” – Norman Finkelstein December 2025

These are portraits of a mind under permanent siege. The face is barely holding coherence: features sketched and re-sketched, erased and redrawn, until the paper is scarred with the evidence of doubt and insistence. The eyes, hollowed, staring, are the same eyes we’ve seen in the Extraction heads, but now they carry decades of specific, named witness. The mouth is often obscured or half-dissolved, as if speech itself has become too costly. Vertical and diagonal scratches rain across the face like static interference or the bars of a cage he’s been arguing against for forty years. These aren’t celebratory portraits; they’re forensic records of what it looks like to refuse to stop speaking when every system wants you silent.
