New needles turning green 2026 – 29,7 x 21cm, acrylic on paper
Not won. Turning. The distinction matters.
This is the moment before certainty, when the evidence is accumulating but hasn’t yet declared itself, when what looked like suppression starts to look like something the living things have decided to grow along rather than be stopped by. The lines are still there. They are just no longer in charge.
The variety is the argument. Not one form insisting on survival but many, each doing it differently, blue beside red beside yellow beside green, each finding its own interval, its own angle, its own small claim on the available light. Monocultures are fragile. This is not a monoculture.
Not won. But turning.
