“A household can’t decide to tax the wealthiest person in their neighbourhood. A government can, and should” – Grace Blakely – Vulture Capitalism. We need social governance not anti-governance, an egalitarian economy is urgently needed, GDP under managed capitalism means striking a balance between wage share and profit share. Private and public sectors must equally benefit from growth, regressive legislation that super-concentrates wealth must be dismantled, otherwise austerity policies result. When the government gives astronomical sums of State Aid (public money) to companies setting up in deregulated Special Economic Zones with tax exemption for 10 years and licenses for 25 years, we can safely say that government spending is nothing like a household budget.
