Heads high we gaze 2026

Heads high we gaze 2026 – 24 x 18cm, acrylic, spray paint on canvas

To gaze with heads high is a posture of dignity maintained under pressure, not looking down in defeat, not looking away, but holding the line of the horizon even when the horizon has been restructured around you. The flowers do this without knowing they’re doing it. They simply occupy the space allocated, each one distinct, each one present, the dark surface beneath them neither soil nor void but something in between.
