One of my all time favourite bands, Liz Fraser’s singing experimented with dismantling and reforming language, she developed a unique approach to the use of the voice that challenged preconceptions about how singers went about their craft. Her voicings reveal a depth and range of emotions that was both beguiling, mystical and inimitable.
