Sovereignty 2024 – photograph
As my latest exhibition Zone Fever at Sis Josip Galerie ended in The Hague, the last thing I did was scrape off a vinyl lettering artwork from a window in the gallery that read ‘Collective sovereignty not corporate sovereignty’. Starmer’s capitulation to the corporate political model follows his announcement on X that his Government is partnering with Blackrock, the most criminally corrupt shadow bank in the world. This means the UK will be privatised as Starmer continues the Tories nationwide neocolonial experiment in setting up 74 Special Economic Zones (SEZs), 48 SEZs in England, 18 SEZs in Scotland, and 8 SEZs in Wales. Collective sovereignty is people power, this is to be replaced with corporate sovereignty which is the asset classes power.
