The IEA was founded by battery chicken farmer Anthony Fisher in 1955 under the advice of Friedrich Hayek, he warned Fisher that to keep the IEAs charity status the think tank must never let their libertarian agenda become known to the public, as this would cause outrage and likely see the IEA being shut down.
What else is the IEA up to? Their plans used to be fringe ideology in the 50s and 60s, after a decades-long incubation period, private cities, private enclaves, states within states are already popping up across the UK in the form of Special Economic Zones and Freeports. Each Freeport sits inside an SEZ that ranges from 38 to 75km in diameter. Do you live inside an SEZ?
