Exeter and East Devon SEZ 2024

Exeter and East Devon SEZ 2024 – 30 x 24cm, acrylic on canvas

Deregulated Special Economic Zones (SEZs) have a duty to shareholders above and beyond their glossy brochures of alleviating poverty and solving the problems that big govt have ‘failed’ to do. SEZs are an attack on ‘govt interventionism’ and balanced redistribution of profits, SEZs achieve this by operating on relaxed regulations in carved-out enclaves of the host country that allow companies tax-exemption (in the UK this is set at 10 years) with licenses set for a quarter of a century or more.
