Not diminishing. Cascading toward, forms pressing against each other, colour finding its own level, the surface becoming so inhabited that no single element can claim priority over any other.
This is abundance as argument. Not arranged, not curated, but accumulated in the way that living things accumulate when the conditions are right and nothing is stopping them.
Beckett’s title names a process of failing toward something, the voice cascading down through exhaustion toward the image it has been trying to find. The painting takes the word and reverses the direction. What cascades here is not diminishment but arrival, the full chromatic fact of what is, tumbling into the available space, filling it completely.
